RECOMMENDED: Solarworks Atlanta Tint Shop
I just had my car re-tinted (to remove scratched tint), and went with Solarworks (on Alpharetta Highway in Roswell).
They were OUTSTANDING. Knew the TL very well, removed the doors, AND fixed the rattle that my dealer was too lazy to trace.
The first person that did it (mobile tinter in Buckhead) was awful. He was awful, the Sungard tint was GARBAGE, and he did a half-assed job.
So if you need a place:
http://www.solarworksatlanta.com/
Phone: 770-664-4100

Yeah he's a good guy, I've had two cars done there. I used to think no one could beat my old favorite shop (in CA) but I think he is as good or better.
I second the recommendation!

Did they use moleskin?
#6
I guess he did, but he called it felt. Same as moleskin or not?
In any case he seemed to know what he was doing. As soon as I told him it was a TL he explained he recommended felt on TL's and TSX's due to the hard plastic on the inside of the doorpanel. He said it wouldn't scratch and to bring it back if it did.
Haven't seen any scratches but it has only been a couple of weeks.

Sorry -- they *did* use the moleskin that I had (bought from the TL forum member in Florida).
If I didn't have it I believe they have something similar, although it's not exactly the same.
To be clear moleskin only fixes part of the problem. If an installer is lazy and doesn't remove the door panel, you'll most likely end up with scratches. It takes time (and experience) to do it correctly, and that's what these guys have and do...

agree
I agree on Solarworks. They did use moleskin, as well as a removal of the rear corner window to insure complete tint. I'll post a pic later of the 15% ceramic.

$120 to remove-and-replace front windows.
I left the rear side and rear "backlight" (large) windows alone for now (it's a lease). If I cared more I would have them do the rear side windows because the ghetto moron who did it first didn't go up all the way on the small rear side windows. Lazy is as lazy does.
For comparison, a complete tint on my friend's S4 was $350 at Solarworks. Not cheap but you pay for quality (tint and service).
