Cool Recommendations : Nokya or Luminics

Need to replace my fogs. Had Polargs but thus far have blown a set a year and I'm not doing it for the 3rd time @ $60 a pop . Anyone used both Nokya and Luminics can tell me which is the better one?

Thanks!

I have $20 Nokya Arctic Whites and I LOVE them. Got them off of eBay. Don't have Luminics yet though, I may get some of those for my DRLs.

Henry, I wanted my fogs to be as bright as my headlights. But I wanted a simple bulb switchout too. So, like ChairGuru, I got Nokya 7000k Arctic white bulbs and I'm very happy with the look. I'm not sure what size plug-in bulb a 2006 TL needs, but the 2007 size is H8.

+1 I like the nokya... I've used them on all my cars. I think I might end up doin HIDs for my fogs though soon, just to be brighter.

I run Nokya Hyper Yellow bulbs for my DRL's. Had them about a year now with no issues and they are bright.

JnC recommends Sylvania SilverStar Ultra for the fogs. Here is the post (https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...lverStar+Ultra). He says the 7000K Nokyas lose some lumens with the higher Kelvin and quoted 1.5X the light from any other halogen.
I know I put a set in my GF's 06 Accord and she is very pleased with them (they replace her regular low/high beams).
Of course, there is always HID (https://acurazine.com/forums/sponsored-sales-group-buys-10/hid-special-%2460-shipped-acurazine-members-723872/).

Thanks all, Looks like I may go with Nokyas with all the props you guys are giving them. I'm actually going with yellow ones since the 06 fogs are in the headlight unit so putting bright whites would look like high beams. When I had factory bulbs and had them on. I was already getting flashes for keeping them on. Any issues with wiring? Harness needed?

PNP.......just pop the OEM bulbs out and put the Nokya's in. Actually they twist a quarter turn. Easy to swap out.

I've had Nokya Artic White for ~18 months, no problem.

Just ordered a set of Nokya Hyper Yellow to change it up for a while.

Make sure you clean the bulbs with alcohol and then do NOT touch them AT ALL during install. Otherwise a little of the oil from your finger gets on the bulb and creates a hot spot that will eventually cause the bulb to burst.

If you are going with Yellows... I highly suggest you look at Hoen Endurance bulbs... They fill in the entire lens with a very yellow hue....

Nokya won't do that...

Just ordered the Nokya's too. I've only had the car a month and am immensely enjoying it. We'll see how I like yellow. Next time maybe the Hoen's.

For those with the lower fogs I didn't change my bulb at all. I installed yellow plexiglass into the bumper bezels. You can't beat the protect of 1/4" plexiglass from rocks:

many people out there believe that nokya makes awesome bulbs, etc. Try Hoen Bulbs you will love them. I had a set in my other car and I got a few of my buddies to buy them after they saw the HID's in the 04 TL. After 4+ years they are running strong and as bright as day one. they have not burned any wiring nor housings.
