Rear Wing Spoiler

Have any of you ever installed this by yourself?

If yes, can you describe the experience/level of difficulty?

Wingless FTW! You might even find someone local who is willing to trade you a winged trunklid for a wingless one, in your same color.

But if you insist, taking apart the liner in the trunk lid is very easy. Then its a matter of lining things up straight and getting the balls to drill through your trunk lid.

I personally would be much more scared of rust developing years later at the drill sites.

Lining it up should be fine. Just be sure before drilling... use a marker to mark the spot and measure three times, then start the hole with a small drill bit as a pilot, then switch to a the correct drill bit once you have a nice pilot hole started.

I did mine myself. Painted the drill holes and used a bit of silicone to prevent leaks/rusting. There's also a template provided to locate the holes.

I bought the tool to change the springs.

In the end, I wish I hadn't done it, but it's not the worst around.
