Is the 2005 TL supposed to have some kind of trim or lip around the rear window? I looked at mine closely today and noticed that mine does not and that the raw edge of the glass is exposed. Does not look right to me.

 

That's the way it is supposed to be. The glass is glued in, and the service manual says to remove it, you put piano wire between the glass and the body and saw it back and forth to break the seal. This is done after you remove the trunk lid, the package shelf, the high mounted brake light, the lower molding, and the connectors.
