I know that Av electronics' website has been posted already for their adapter to play DVDs on the Navi Screen. They also have the cameras that you can mount in the rear to be able to see when backing up. But I found a better camera that is even less invasive.

It's at "www. hitchcam .com" It's a license plate frame that encorporates a camera into it.

I hate to start messing with the electronics of my TL, but it seems like it's worth the money.

WHen I asked the dealer I was told that the MDX camera can be mounted on TL with the same purchase and installation price. Dunno if anybody have done this though.

 

I'd be worried about it getting stolen..

Thought I'd add a 2025 update for anyone still researching camera options for the TL:

✅ Sadly, the OEM camera on 2004–2008 TLs still isn’t supported by Android head units, as there's no reliable decoder available

✅ Most of us end up using dedicated AHD license plate cameras — they’re super easy to install, high quality, and fully compatible with modern Android screens

✅ If you’re looking for a clean, plug-and-play camera setup, I’m happy to share what I use + install notes — just DM me
