'Rear Emblem' part no. request

the one thing that really bugs me about my TL-S is that the rear 'A 'is 'slanted'. I popped the trunk and removed the liner to see what that's all about and it looks like there is only 1 of 2 pins into the hole that the emblem plugs into so whoever put it in or BACK in probably had shit for brains and couldn't keep steady.

Keep in mind, the car was a certified acura from the dealership and I was shown the carfax which only showed a windshield claim...but who knows? maybe something was patched up privately?! in any case, the car runs 100% and there is never any leaks in the trunk at all.

Anyways.. i'd like to order a brand new 'A' for the rear so if anyone can provide a part number.

(alternatively, I suppose I can just remove the slanted one, put on some 3M doublesided tape and replant it)

PIC:

The rear emblem uses the two push pins AND double sided tape which you'll see when you receive it. That would have bugged me as well :-)

Are you sure it comes with double sided tape? Anyway, OP why didn't you just remove it and use some emblem adhesive?

Yap....the emblem will be easy to install. As for the old one, might have a project for it and $27 isn't gonna break the bank for a brand new one.

The price difference between the US and up here is scary ... I like to shop local but at sometimes 2 to 3 times the price I ship stuff to Wash state then go get it.

When you go to remove the old emblem use dental floss or fishing line to saw it off then warm the left over foam/glue with a hair dryer then roll it off with your finger. The last bits GooGone works great on. Don't go scraping .. you will see the scratches in the sun.

Where in BC?

Did the straightening out today. . Although I received a brand new rear emblem, I ended up re-using the old one... But I hate applying emblem tape especially when exacto-knifing around the edges.

bEFORE pic shows slanted A:

Looked underneath the trunk to see only 1 pushpin in the holes:

Removed old emblem with dental floss after heating it up with blow dryer:

Broken pushpin on emblem:

Used some bug n tar remover to rub off residue.

Applied 3M emblem tape:

Stuck it back on: (straight I hope)

Most things are slanted up there, aren't they? Nice fix.
