Rear diffuser

Hey guys, tried to search if this has been brought up before and didn't find anything.
Has anyone tried to modify the rear diffuser of a TL type S to make it a real one? where the honeycomb grill on the rear bumper actually lets air thru? I don't really like to look at fake closed up grills..

working on one right now, not the kind your talking about but...

There have been a few people that have rigged something up for the look of a rear diffuser. Accuratein has had a couple different ones just as an example.

<- using a replica two piece diffuser
need to fiberglass the two together still and make a cut out on the rear bumper.

sorry, probably should not call it diffuser, see the M3

I am talking about the honeycomb grill integrated with the bumper, see how it is hollow? Our type S is solid piece.

I don't think anyone has modified it, to allow air through, no.
