Rear Bumper got Bumped

My Fiancee Sister in Law accidently pulled up a bit too close in her Expedition and bumped my car. I have some pics but I do not know how to post, Its not that bad.....I didnt even notice it at first until her husband pointed it out to me.

I am going to get some Touch up Paint from Acura...does anyone have any suggestions on how to touch it up correctly. If someone could help me post the pics, that would be great.

don't expect perfect results from touch up paint... but basically just apply a few very thin layers and let them dry for 10 minutes or so between coats. Try to fill in the scratch but not get paint on any of the surrounding area. If it looks bad rub it off before it dries and try again. It won't be perfect but when you stand back and glance at the car it should be much less noticable.

some people say a toothpick or tiny artist brush is much better for the job, depending on the angle of the scratch.

Use the back of a match from a paper match book.

i had the same problem...someone bumped me from the back and made some small vertical scratches...i touched it up a little bit......but then it just started to peel away...so eventually i repainted it.....if the scratches aren't that bad....then if u just take ur time...you can do a decent job...but like tzakiel said...it will never be perfect

If it's a small scratch, I don't recommend using the brush that comes in the touch up bottle. Go to an art supply store and buy some fine point brushes. It's better to apply a little bit at a time than try to cover the scratch in one or two strokes.
