Hmmm, it looks like you may new to the use of forums or bulletin boards (Since you have obviously posted a set of questions to already addressed issues multiple times). There's this thing called a "search" button. Simply click on it and enter what you are looking for and you will see a lot of results. In this case, some people have also used the Ron Jon rear end (my personal favorite) but the decision as to which rear end to use may be predicated upon your specific exhaust decision (Some exhaust REQUIRE a certain). Choose the wrong rear end and you'll find yourself cutting into it just to get your exhaust onto your car.

The TL-S exhaust has larger openings in width to accomidate the Quad tips that are used verus the square ones on the base TL.

only the Type-S rear bumper will, if you have an 04-06 TL or base 07, you can buy the rear aspec kit for the 07 TL-S and cut out the necessary portions on your bumper, and still have it look great.

04-06 = a-spec
07-08 = type-s a-spec

errrr.... pretty much 04-06 is different from 07-08. They have different rear bumpers from each other. 04-06 uses one type of a-spec kit and the 07-08 uses a different type of a-spec kit.

I think i kinda confused myself.

Happy I found this thread because I was about to post this up as well....

What body panels / lights / lip kits fit from 04-06 and 07-08?

From what I've gathered it almost all can move over? Anyone have any comparisions?

The two classes(or years between 04-60 and 07-08) differ very minimally. A lot of the difference is cosmetic(exterior) changes. If you look at the base TL(07-08) compared to the 04-06, you can find almost nothing different except the rims and the taillight from my understandings. The type-S, however, has major changes in the interior as well as exterior.

Bumpers are different
Aero kits are different
Taillights are different
Standard RearCamera
Standard Type-S Rims
Standard Fog lights (I think base 07-08s have this too, but not sure)
Standard Type-S Steering wheel
Red lighting interior design
Type-S headrests and floor mats
3.5 Liter Engine
Quad exhaust...

There are DOZENS of differences in these two classes, you really should pick up the brochures at the dealer and take a look. Too many differences to name.. I can go through a number of them, and someone else will find some more.

This might help a bit.

This is pretty simple. The Type-S has 4 exhaust pipes so it needs a bigger opening then the base one that has two square tips. If you wanna put the type S exhaust on (which will cost a decent amount of money) you can put it on your non type S by cutting up your current bumper to get the pipes to fit and then use the Type S rear lip to cover up the hacked up stock bumper and have it look stock.

Call Tim from hondaacuraworld.

I am doing the same thing to my CGP.

I belive the cutting on the 07-08 base is minimal compare to the big hack on the 04-06..pratically the whole bottom half.

There is difference in the exteriors from the 04-06 to the 07-08. 07-08 is wider and the bumpers are different.

But really call tim... See what he can do for you... it be cheaper than what a a dealer will charge you to paint it.
