Rear antenna run, need help!
Rear antenna run, need help!
Well I'm hooking up a ham radio into my TL, was very suprised and delighted to see how acura has made it easy to at least run the power portion of this task - a hole already in the firewall, and some plastic "tunnels" under the seat (though I didn't use them due to length limitations of my power cord.. and I couldn't figure out how to get the plastic fasteners up from under the seat -- any ideas?)
Anyway, the back is a different story. Putting a magnetic (small) antenna on the trunk, ran the cable down the left side of the trunk (on the inside of the felt covering) to the left trunk hinge. I've figured out how to get the plastic opened on the left hinge to run the cable inside of it.. haven't figured out how to get the left side trunk covering out yet to get the cable inside there, but my delemma is with running it up the left side of the vehicle from the trunk to under the driver's seat..
Will i have to take the entire back seat out to do this - or can I just take the bottom portion of the seat?
Has anyone else done such a thing? I've read up a bit on the "installing an amp" threads which indicated they had to remove the entire seat.
Thanks.
