I was I-75 coming home and thier is a silver cobra with really bright blue boost gauges on the side, we were going 70, we both just floored it going 70 he flew, but i had 4 ppl in the car, he got 5car lenghts but kept closing the gap to 3 cars when we got up to 125

More than likely, he just let off. After all, like you said he got 5 cars on you going 70mph. There is no way you will "close the gap" especially since your car is probably weighing over 4000lbs and is AT.

BTW, before going triple digit speeds, please be courteous to your passengers. I saw your last thread where you went 130 for 6 minutes with a full car. Not too smart and very reckless on your part.

 

The OP's car is capable of ludicrous speed. A Cobra has nothing for a TL capable of ludicrous speed.

couldn't have said it better...and honestly if he pulled 5 cars on you while you're in 3rd, there's no way you're gonna close the gap in 4th IF he still had his foot on the gas. I have an auto tl myself and honestly after you hit fourth gear this car is hella slow you gotta admit lol they dont call it the infamous 4th gear for nothing

Gave me 3 seconds head start then flew by like i was standing still.
Guess it was karma for pickin on a v6 stang earlier that day lol

^Thats nuthin, I passed a C65 AMG last summer because he had more cars in front of him on the left lane, so I zoomed by him in the center lane.

 

I smoked an E39 M5 while driving my 2000 Nissan Quest minivan. Long story short: I was in an empty HOV lane and he had to thread his way through traffic in the normal lanes. He'll forever be in fear of 170hp Nissan Quests now!!

 

LOL. No he did, he was definitely on the gas because he was pulling. But he wasn't flooring it else he woulda put buslengths on me. We went twice, both times he pulled about 2-3 cars. 2/3 throttle? UGH Lol.

I've accidentally raced a few cars. I like to get out in front of everyone at a redlight in the GN since it's usually on slicks and the rear end sways a little. At one redlight, I used maybe 1/4 pedal and a couple psi boost to get out in front of everyone. I guess I didn't notice the Mustang GT next to me. At the next light he comes up real hard and with his window down he yells good race and how I beat him really bad. I never went over 3,000 rpm or 1/4 pedal but I didn't have the nerve to tell him I didn't see him.

 

LOL. I could've only imagined his face if you told him you were just coming off a red light. That's why some street stories are ehh, like me vs C63. I was gonna post it but then was like ehh, better not to because I was 100% he wasn't on it fully. Maybe he had a gorilla in the trunk?

 

Could've been a fake one lol. I have a friend that badged his CL500 as a 55 and a CL600 as a CL65. TL vs their NA V8 depending on the model can be a good race. I ran the CL500 and it barely took my TL. Ran it at the track and it went 14.6@99mph which made sense. Anyone who raced in on the street thought they were beating the low 13 second version so they probably went home very happy.

True, but it was a C63. Unless he got nuts because it had the wheels, bumper, side badges..from soup to nuts. I would've heard that thing scream @7k, and I didn't. I looked it up as soon as I got home and saw they run the quarter mid 12s @115+. Surely my ~240whp Accord isn't close to that

If it was a 500 I should've pulled. I raced one stock and was neck and neck until 75mph.

 

I ran a C32 AMG once. I paced him for a little and he kept looking over. He wouldn't race me but as soon as I moved up about 3 cars he gooses it, and he startes comming like a bat out of hell, I knew he was going to do it I had downshifted as soon as he started moving. He came up on the side of me as I held onto 3rd and we were even, as I slamed to 4th I started pulling on him, and let me tell you he looked like he just did something in his pants LMAO.
Afterwards he wouldn't look over me the entire time for the next 30 minutes, why can't some people give a
