Quote for A-Spec Body Kit Install...
I dropped my car off at the body shop yesterday to get my rear end fixed. I figured while there I may as well get the body shop to put my kit on, since I have no time to do it. Well I figured I would get cut a break since the bumper would already be off, but I don't think I did. The shop owner said that he would charge me somewhere in the area of $300-$350 to do the kit, I think that's pretty high for a vehicle that will already be partially apart. They only other number I have to use as a reference was the absurd price of 1k for install from the stealership. I'm thinking about calling him and telling him not to put it on and I'll just pick it up. But then I'll have to borrow my friend's truck to go get the kit back from the shop and then use it again to drop it off elsewhere. I don't want to bitch over a few bucks, but I definitely thought it would be a lot less.
What do you guys/gals think?

Do it yourself, I did mine this spring and spent a good day on it. I took my time and made sure everything was right. There is a good DIY on Acurazine. My dealship quoted me $400, I said screw that and saved myself $400!

Don't feed the...WTF?
Actually that price is pretty reasonable for an install. There is drilling to both the front and rear bumpers.
With that being said - if you have the 3-4 hours to do the install yourself, it's a pretty no brainer job. It's just something that you need to set aside some time to do it right.

If your serious, let me know a good day. I would actually do the install at my Parent's house in DE (45 mins away), I can give you a ride to and from if your willing. But in the mean while, I'm going to call the shop and tell him to hold off, hopefully he didn't start yet .
