Not bad, got mine wit 95k miles. Loved the color combo on my car. Not too many with it that I can see on a daily basis, just the reg. WDP, NBP, AM, and SSM, it is a head turner which I like but not from the Cops.

Under the same county, a few postings below is a WDP asking $22k for it with 58k miles. I wonder if its too costly to own one now?

How fast were you going?
I was "clocked" at 92 -_____-
Officer was like "Were you racing with that black car? he was clocked at 87"
"No Sir, i wasn't racing with anybody"

Then when i was passing up that black car. It was a 2010 TL and the guy was out of his car yelling at the police. O_O

I went 9 yrs without a ticket. 2009 On my way to Infantry Officer School I got a speeding ticket in Arizona, Oklahoma and Arkansas. Yes I was speeding. I was able to do traffic school for two of the tickets. Im going to try to drive slow in my TL when I get home from the desert.

Good call, yeah just take it easy on the speeding, I know once I first drove my TL I couldnt believe the power coming that V6,coming from a 4cyl. acura integra. I caught myself going 80-90 easy. so I had a feeling I might be getting in trouble with this car, but color combo and features are just awesome.

My 2007 Type S just turned 50,000 miles. That seems like a decent price.

Guys, out of respect for Mando (the OP), let's stay on topic, please.

LOL. i have a similar story. i used to drive a gsr integra and got pulled over because a cop thought i was racing a tl (the tl driver got a ticket and the cop let me go).

anyway, i used to own a wdp tl-s and never got a ticket. i recently traded my wdp for a kbp. i guess im now under the radar. was clocked at 87 in 65 in los Angeles

Really, Im noticing more Type-S popping up on CG, they are wonderful looking cars, but I just think they would be too much car for me(college student). Even though I want an 07+ MDX, but the type s looks nice.
Wish I could buy every acura in their line up, I like the RL and RDX.

Saw this earlier today:

http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...5&aff=national

makes me cringe a little bit to know if I waited two months longer I might have been able to have a 6speed with 10k less miles, a little cheaper, and full A-spec kit and wheels

I financed mine for around $23,500. I love the car, just really kicking myself for not getting the 6speed like I originally wanted!!
I called that dealership earlier today too hoping to get some more info on the car and the sales guy told me someone already put a deposit on it. Someone is getting a very nice car for a GREAT deal. Wouldn't surprise me if the person who buys it ends up here on the forums!

^^^ Do those things even work anymore? I feel like they are completely useless, I had one and still got a speeding ticket because it wasn't in the path of the radar

Radar detector.
Picks up on K , A, KA, KU, X Bands.
Lets u know when there is one in the area. Pointing at you, away from you, behind you and so on. this one has crazy range. It starts beeping and goes "KA BAND" in a woman's voice. Then blinks how fast im going. If the Radar is far it'll show 1 bar. If it its super close it shows 6 bars and beeps Super fast.
So far it has worked. Saved me today...(although i shouldn't even be speeding since i got a ticket yesterday ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ )

How do you like the 9500? I've had an 8500 for a few years now and it's saved me countless times. I've read the 9500 has a gps function where you can program it to ignore false alarms with the push of a button. I would definitely enjoy that over always hitting the mute button lol

Wow...a year ago or so there was a CBP type 6 six speed that had been crashed and had a new clutch at the local Acura dealership with 41K miles. They wouldn't budge from the $29K price on it. Amazing how fast they depreciate.

Knock on wood for me:
I used to average 3 speeding tickets per year from the time I was 18 about 25.
Last speeding ticket I got was in 2004.
That was the year I decided I was not going to "slow down" for anything more than a month after each ticket. That was also the year I decided to buy a Valentine One radar detector. They are not obsolete...they do the job...they are not cop finders, but they do warn you of all radar bands ahead of time and even laser as long as you're not first in a row of speeders. Works for me!

Ironically, I drive slower now but the times when you get busted is when you least expect it and are probably not even driving recklessly.

I bought my '08 6MT TL-S with 42k miles on it for 24k, including Gap insurance and extended warranties. You can do better on that price :-D. And I've heard those escort radar detectors are awesome, is it worth the 300-400$?

Nice! I really wish I would have waited longer so I could have gotten a 6MT

And the escorts work great, the way I figure it would you rather pay $300+ on a hefty speeding ticket or spend that on a good radar which will give you more awareness on the road. A lot of people think they're "cop detectors" but all they pick up on is radar, hence why they go off to a lot of automatic doors. The radar Koomo posted above is the Escort Passport 9500 and goes for $500 I believe. I have the Escort Passport 8500 X50 and it's saved me plenty of times and retails for $300. The main difference between the two is the 9500 has a gps function that will alert you to speed cams, red light cams, and program false alarm locations. The 8500 is just a plain old radar/laser detector. I do love it but if I ever upgrade it'll most likely be the 9500 or a Valentine 1 since it's got those fancy arrows
