Quick Question(s) Rear-Accident

Hi everyone!

Last Saturday a vehicle hit the rear of my TL.

Bumper needs to be replaced most likely since there is a crack in the middle of the bumper.

I'm curious would this somehow make my struts (F/P) have problems. I was de-accelerating & short brakes because traffic was bumper-to-bumper. For some reason the past few days my F/P strut is 'lower' then normal.

I have Koni SP3/Eibach Springs.

Is this normal? Did the accident cause this too happen? Or is the strut going out? It has 50k on the struts/springs. I didn't realize it today until I saw my tire was rubbing a lot more then usual and the upper-sidewall was 'ripping' out because it got in contact with the metal part of my front bumper (already got my fenders rolled).

Thanks!

they'll do a wheel alignment and a body alignment and will find out real quick if your suspension is bent

take off the wheel and examine the suspension. it sounds like a minor hit so suspension damage sounds unlikely, but we'll never know unless we see a pic

Op-does (F/P) mean front passenger? Sounds like possibly the circlip on the Koni's spring perch could've dropped a perch (don't know why or how.), or possibly the lower fork holding the koni shock may have not be tight and the koni shock slipped down some at that attachment point. This is all speculation. Pics and measurements comparing both sides may help.

I brought it too the body shop to get an estimate and only noticed it after.

The Liberty Mutual adjuster (the at-fault insurance) has not even contacted me for nearly a week. I have attempted to contact her over 10x this past week... leaving her voicemails and such, but with no response. I already contacted my insurance company the day of the accident.

The perch setting was already on its max perch. SP3 max drop is .75". With the Eibach Springs, (1" drop) the car was at approx ~1.75". I'll post some pictures tonight. Thanks!
