Questions From a Newbie....

I have several questions for any of you regarding the cd player display, A-Spec Kits, and rim choices...

1) does the cd changer in the TLs display the title/artist of the track you are listening to? Some car stereo's can read the artist/title that's programmed on the cd. I have a NAVI and it doesn't come up for me on the audio screen. Is there any setting I can change to do this? I know its kind of lame if this is the worst complaint I have about the car, but I think it should have it.

2) Is there a way to install ONLY the sideskirts of the A-Spec body kit? I don't really like the way the front/back pieces look, only the side. However, I've never seen a TL with just the sideskirts. Is this even possible to order? And if so, has anyone ever seen a TL with just the sideskirts and stock front and rear bumper?

3) I have a NBP and am thinking about getting black rims. I know this isn't everyone's thing but I think some cars look really classy with black rims. Has anyone seen black rims on a TL before, and if so how did they look. Any suggestions on rims that would look good? I am really not a "rims" guy, so if you have pictures or links that would be even better.

I did do a search for all these topics and couldn't find anything so I apologize if these questions are repeats...Thanks

1. No it cannot display the title or artist (unless you are using XM). I don't have navi, but this is what I understand. In case I'm wrong, someone please correct me.
2. You can install just the side skirts. You can either order it from the dealer. I haven't seen what it looks like so I cannot comment. From the picture I have in my head, it would look a little strange to me...but remember, I have not seen it. For pics of a full kit installed on a TL you can click my sig.
3. I have seen black rims, but I prefer the gunmetal or black/smoked chrome rather than flat black rims. Sorry, I do not have any suggestions right now, but I would suggest looking at:
www.tirerack.com
www.tires.com
www.wheelsboutique.com
Wheels Boutique and Discount Tire seems to have the largest selection of rims. If you are looking for 18's here is some sizes that will fit perfectly (other sizes might fit also but this will fit without rubbing even if you drop it an inch):
a. 18x8.0 or 18x8.5 with a 40-45mm offset.
b. 19x8.0 or 19x8.5 with a 40-45mm offset.

1) doesn't support cd-text
2) you should be able to buy it. i believe there's a post that has part #s for all of the parts in the a-spec package
3) i'm also thinking of getting black or gun metal rims for my car. you can check out this part of the forum http://www.acura-tl.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=37

3) You should get a wheel with a nice lip. Keep the lip a silver/alloy finish. Then paint the rest of the wheel black. I like that look

the best wheels for your 04 TL are those made by our own Rondog.

check out his designs in the vendors forum.
