Questions about 2008 TL Purchase
My local dealer finally found a 2008 TL with navi in Nighthawk Black/Ebony which should arrive tomorrow or Thursday. I have a couple of questions that I was hoping to get answered before I pick up the car.
1) The price is $30,200 (includes freight, but does not include taxes and tags). From what I can tell from reading this list, that seems like a fair price. True?
2) When I "test drive" the car, is there anything in particular that I should look for? (i.e. Are there any persistent problems with the 08 TLs that I might look for/catch during the test drive?)
3) I currently have a 2002 TL with low mileage (44K). My only reason for getting rid of it is the transmission warranty is almost up. I did have the transmission replaced under warranty in 11/2005 and it seems fine but I'm a little paranoid. Given the economy, would I be better off trading the car in? I hate to do that given the car is in near perfect shape! I'm a fanatic about washing my car once a week and polishing the car every other month with Zaino.
4) I love my current TL and find that the seats are extremely comfortable on long rides. Please tell me that I'm going to love the new TL even more and that it will be just as comfortable. The seats seem a little on the firm side to me in 2008.
5) Acura seems to have issues with rattles. For the most part, it sounds like the 2008 is much better in that department. True?
I just hope I'm not making a mistake in getting rid of the 2002 TL!
Thanks in advance for any help that you might be able to offer!

That price looks a little high to me. How many miles? Is it certified? Has it been previously titled?
I just bought a 2008 Navi that was certified, non titled, 11,000 miles for $30K out the door (TT&L incl)

It's a good price with Navi. I paid $31K out the door with non navi on my 2008. My only issue I have with mine is the steering is tougher than what I am used to in my wife's 08 accord. Plus, the steering wheel leather was super slick until I used some leather conditioner on it.

Most of the resent purchase postings have paid around $30k. Just make sure they don't tack on an additional dealer/prep fee. Also, see if they throw in wheel locks, mud flaps, truck liner and first oil change for free. It's worth a couple hundred extra $'s.
