Questions about a 07 TL-S w/ 6MT
My current car is falling apart and I'll need to replace it sometime soon. I'm not in a rush, but if there is a good opportunity I'll jump for it. I'm most interested in a 3rd gen TL Type-S with the 6MT as they provide a good combination of features/performance/reliability/safety for my price range. Plus I've always thought they looked fantastic. I have found a white TL-S a few hours from me with 166k miles for $9500. Despite the high-ish mileage it looks really clean from the photos. Carfax shows pretty thorough maintenance for most of its history, although the second owner from 2016-18 does not show much. One accident is shown in 2013, with damage to the right-rear area but that the car was still driveable, and the original owner kept it for 3 more years after. I would think this means the damage was mostly cosmetic, but of course I would still have this checked during a PPI.
I know the TL-S with 6MT can be kind of rare, especially one that isn't grey/black. Travelling several hours just to look at the car would be a pain in the ass, but I'm willing to do it for a good car. So my question for you folks is whether I should jump at this possibly rare chance or just let it pass and wait for something else to show up? If I did what would be some things to make sure to look out for during an inspection?

The car looks to be clean, but I would need to see it in person, so make the 3 hour drive and go see it if your interested.
the rear panel was definitely painted poorly after the damage to it. Horrible blending job, use that to lower the price among other things

If it clean, budget fit your pocket and color isn't the your least favorite then I would go for it. Be warn that chance the car already sold lol, TL-S MT is hard to come by let alone a "clean and decent" condition come by.
I am so poor so I bought a Base TL instead lmao, not really when I search for a TL-S MT I only wanted 2 color with specific interior.

did carfax show tb and wp being done? If not you'll need to factor that into budget as well. Personally if paintwork bad I'd walk but my tolerance is very low for bad paint. Good luck in your search for me the quest is the best part

Null and proud of it
Car looks clean to me, check it out.
BTW, I usually go by weather the original owner kept the car after an accident too, it shows weather or not the repairs were up to satisfactory or not.
