I was detailing the exhaust tips which had been neglected from PO. They came out pretty damn good for my first time but being OCD the top of the tip needs help too and I cant access well.

Can the mufflers be dropped without having to unbolt at the flanges? The flanges are pretty rusted and all that work is not worth it just to buff the tips.

Eh, well the left muffler can be dropped fairly easily, but the right muffler is connected all the way until the J-pipe/Catalytic converter connection. Maybe you could remove the bumper instead? That would give clear access to the top of the exhaust tips.

 

that's how I would do it as well, drop the bumper.

 

 

when you drop the bumper don't forget to remove the tail light bracket that held by 2 bolts, just in case if you need to remove the tail light you won't have to drop the bumper again.
