Question about windshields..

Question about windshields..

What do you use to get the glass clean? There is that slight difference between where the windshield wipers wipe and where they do not. For some reason it's dirtier and I can't get it off. I don't use rainx either but maybe I will start.

About every couple of months I use BonAmi, it's used to clean the kitchen and pot and pans. I've been doing this for about 5 years. It gets all of the crap of the windshield.

Just wet down the windshield, shake the BonAmi on it. Don't let the BonAmi get onto the paint or other parts of the car. Use a regular sponge to wipe it in, and rinse with a lot of water. You can also run the sponge across the wipers to get it all off.

I have to pick up some more today, I got sticky showderd coming back from the beach yesterday. When I turned on my wipers I couldn't see shit. It was like someone poured oil onto my windshield.

I clean mine once in awhile, about once a week since I cant stand driving with the dirt looking right at me. I clean it as soon as i can so it wont be harder to remove later on....either windex or rain x.

I try not to let the windshields get to filthy but it happens. Anyway, I use a window scraper that has a 4" replaceable razor blade along with Invisible Glass (pump). Spray IG on the windows and work from outside to center. I lay a towel to catch excess liquid and then buff with a clean MF polishing towel. It looks something similar to the one below. Great for home windows also.
