question about towing with 6spd TL

Can someone look in their owner's manual and let me know what the towing capacity for the TL 6spd is?

Owner's manual specifically states that TL is not recommended for towing of any type

Wouldnt you have to cut a hole in your bumper anyway?

As SilverQuartzTL mentions the Owners manual clearly refuses to use the TL for towing...although some were arguing that the Accords manual has a capacity of 1000 lbs and they have the same chassis...

but again the TL's manual says NO...and with a 6 spd if you screw up your clutch or tranny you would be in deep do-do.

I had a CL 6spd that towed the crap out of my trailer.

Our cars can handle lite weight trailers. I can also tell you from experience the car showed no signs of extra wear or stress while towing. Most imporant is being conservitive while towingl.

Could you provide some info on what tow solution you went with?

I used my original reciever and hitch off my 03 CL. It fits this car fine. The wiring harness also works on this car. I purchased all of it from UHaul and paid $183 installed. Good luck and enjoy all the car has to offer.

i can only assume that you're towing your blackbird with this setup.

what type of trailer did you go with.

my 2003 needs transportation as well, from time to time.

by the way, are you on the cbr1100xx.org forum? i have the same username over there.
