Alright so i was supposed to get my TL serviced at 7,767 miles and right now I'm at 8,008. To make the situation worst, i have to go to Tampa tomorrow morning and leave at 6 sharp (200 miles; 400 miles there and back) and come back a week later for some school stuff. So should i go to some local shop right now? or is it better to just wait for Acura in a week?

What percentage is your MID showing? As long as it doesn't say Service Past Due, you should be OK. Can you get it done in Tampa? That would mean only 200 more miles on the oil.

I'm assuming that you've had the vehicle serviced before ?? Its impossible for the MID to show 50% remaining @ 8000 miles if this is the original oil fill.

If you're in doubt, just drop by Jiffy Lube and have the oil/filter changed.
