Question about the OEM body kit

Hi. I'm sorry, I believe I saw this topic earlier but I cannot seem to find it through the search. Well... I'm looking to buy the OEM kit and was wondering if the side skirts were really necessary? From the pics I've seen, the front and rear lips are obvious, but the sides look the same with or w/o the kit. Does anyone have pics of a TL with just the front and rear lips on? Thanks a lot.

They are different. Just not very noticeable. I suggest that you do it all or nothing. There are contours on the front and rear that match the contours on the sides. Leaving off the sides, or just doing the front as some have done, would be a big mistake in my opinion. I certainly wouldn't buy a used TL where someone did that. Think resale man. It's a no-brainer. Get the entire kit or none of it. No one would want to buy your car in the future with a partial body kit. Dealers wouldn't want it on a trade either.

i would do the whole kit or none of it. although it is subtle the lines do match up better with the entire kit. the side skirts on the kit kick out a bit and the bottom to match the lip and rear bumper. get the whole thing if you like the a-spec look.

Yea! whole or none. I do not like the front lip so stayed away from the kit. Have been trying to visualise how it will look with only the rear piece.

The side skirt of the body kit flares out to match the front spoiler and the rear end valence. You can see the flaring and how it flows with the front and black on the angle shot of my car. IMHO, the bodykit wouldnt look right without them:
