Question about HIDs

Hello everyone, I did a lot of research and thread through most of the threads available on the forum, but did not find a definite answer. I have a 2004 TL. I want to install HIDs in my OEM fogs and the bottom fogs. I already have the accord fogs installed, but not sure what relay to buy and how to install it. For the OEM fogs, what relay or relay harness should I purchase. Please provide me a link. Thank you in advance.

Go with the Raptor or slim kit, depending on where you're mounting. I prefer using 35W to avoid heat warping of the housings.

Make sure you get one of these per kit.

Thank you for the help, but I'm uncertain how to hook up the HIDs to the correct relay. I just don't what relay to purchase. Do you have any idea? Thanks.

I don't the anyone is connecting anything to an aftermarket wire harness. The HID kits are all plug and play and will use your OEM wire harness.

I think it depend on the ballast. I just want to play safe and install a relay so that it won't heat up my housing.

Are you saying that I will be safe just plug and play for the OEM fogs and the bottom fogs without a relay?

Unless you're running the 55w ballast then you do not need a relay. People get it to be safe with the 35w, but 9.9/10 you don't need it.

Better safe than sorry. For $15, I'll take the peace of mind that my car won't burn up. Just because I CAN fall asleep on railroad tracks doesn't mean its a good idea.
To answer your question, the relay harness I linked to is all you will need. They are simple to install.

Will this relay harness work with any HID conversion kit, or does it have to be HID kits from DDM tuning?

^^ It's a cheap knock off kit, just get DDM kit for 1/2 the price man. You're making this a harder situation that what it is. LOL

I say you get the DDM Kit. Best bang for your buck. I got for my fogs and have no problems at all. I'm also running a relay harness just to be safe since it only cost $10.

As far as which relay harness works...Theres a universal kit and ones that are specifically made for your bulb size. The kit that DDM sells on their website is a universal kit. So any brand relay harness would work.

How hard is it to install a relay harness?

^ Can you plug a plug into a socket? If so, then you can plug this in. It's all EXTREMELY simple.

It's like trying to fit a triangle block in a circle opening, it's not going to work unless you fit the triangle block through the triangle opening.

Its pretty simple.

IIRC...you plug the ballast into the relay harness then you plug the relay harness into one of the stock switches (perferably the one on the driver side, because thats where the battery is). Then on the relay harness there should be two rings where you connect to your battery.

Take some picture when you get these installed, I've been contemplating HIDs or PIAA bulbs for the fogs.
