Quartz Interior Question

I'm having a dickens of a time trying to clean the dashboard section material that's above the glove compartment (kinda rubbery, nubby surface to the touch). It has this hazy, rubbed look. I've tried a clean, damp towel and a damp microfiber towel, to no avail.

Anyone having luck making it look clean? I know it's not supposed to look shiny, but I want it to look all the same, instead of this filmy haze. And I don't want to get any kind of cleaner build up, either.

Any help is appreciated.

try 303 Aerospace. It's highly effective, won't cause shine and is highly receommended here on the boards. You can obtain it from your local Eastern Mountain Sports.

You can also get it at your local Ace Hardware stores if you don't have Eastern Mountain Sports local to you.

I had my car serviced because of this. Acura knows about this problems, and there is no fix. They gave me Acura polish kit for free, but didn't look that good. I am going to try 303 next.

From autopia.org:
The easiest way to treat the dash and console is to use a foam applicator pad. Spray your vinyl protectant on the applicator, not on the dash or console, and wipe it in thoroughly. This will prevent over spray on your glass and upholstery. Don't forget to protect the steering wheel, turn signal levers, and the shift boot. Allow the vinyl protectant to soak in for three to five minutes, then buff the dash and console dry with a clean detailing towel.

Guys,

You can also apply 303 to the plastic B-pillar trim that is constantly getting scuff marks from the metal seat belt clip. Just one application and I have not seen another scuff on the B pillar for the last 8 months! It's like putting lotion on your skin during the winter months. Give it a shot if you have the annoy marks like I did.

Application...

I'm pretty low tech, I just use a soft cotton rag to evenly apply it and another cotton towel to wipe the surface down to an even finish.

The 303 is pretty easy to work with and still looks good after the six months since I put it on.

As others have said, this stuff should work on just about any plastic on the vehicle. You wouldn't want to use it on the leather, but any vinyl would certainly benefit.

Can someone post a picture of how the aerospace 303 looks like? I went to a local ACE Hardware today and they had no idea what I was talking about....

Plan to take a picture of it to the store...

I couldn't find it at my local Ace Hardware on my 1st pass through the automotive section, it's a white spray bottle with a blue label.
