We'll probably never really know as I've added so many more mods it'll really make launching harder.

Your 60ft would be better with a new motor mount and less wheel hop. You might even see a 2.1 60ft! With more mods though it will be harder to manage traction. Just my opinion though

I also used the Density Altitude Calculator and had a corrected time of 14.22 @97.69.

Here are the mods at that time.

02 WDP TLS Black Interior; 17x7 Konig Appeals SMF – 18.2lbs each
P225/45ZR-17 Falken ZE-912; CT Icebox, Custom RamAir;
CT Sways & Springs; Mugen Cooling & Thermoblok Mods
NEO Anti Freeze & NEO 5w-20 oil w/Militec-1

Thats very fast consider stock they run 14.8 and you managed to cut that down that much with basically only an intake!

Talking

My new best ET and best '60. It was 85-90 degrees out all day pretty much until the sun went down. The other lane is my buddy in his 09 Camry SE V6. He was beating up on me all night running consistant 14.3-14.5. His best run was 14.2 and all he has is a Fujita CAI.

Where do you live? You should run your time for a corrected 1/4 and MPH, I am curious to know what it would be, my corrected time is barely faster due to my track having nice temps when i went, but I ran 14.7X at almost 98mph in a 03 TL-S with CAI and cat back exhaust

The track was in Epping, NH. You couldn't ask for a worse day for the 1320. Like I said when I got there it was (actually hotter than 90) But once the sun went down it actually dropped significantly and by 9pm it was 65 degrees. Only problem with that was the humidity came and I think it made the track a little moist because I was getting crazy wheel hop/spin through all of 1st gear on some runs. But overall, I am happy with my time, I think it is about right for a 5AT Type S. And oh yeah, forgot to mention I ended up doing a total of 21 runs down the track so my car was really hot. But everyone that day was running slow. This guy in a new civic Si was really funny. He wanted to race me so we did, and I won he ended up with a 15.5 or something like that. And that pissed him off so I ended up racing him like 4 times that night because he kept trying to beat me lol.

Kills for the night - Civic Si I/H/E (4x) Mini Cooper S (according to the driver has 300hp just can't get traction) Mitsubishi Eclipse GT lol, Audi 2.0T, EG with GSR swap, etc, Volkswagen Golf, Dodge Neon LOL, an older Impala SS (this one surprised me beat him by 1 1/2 car lengths)

Deaths - Camry SE V6 (5x) Those things are damn fast! (He pulls on me the entire length of the track usually beating me by 3-4 cars) old Corvette, some guy in a sleeper Volvo 940 Turbo..I think thats it.

All in all it was a fun day.

Nice runs Ruby! glad to see a 07-08 type S like yours running at the track! Was 14.7 your fastest run of the night? You are right that those camrys are darn fast! Its their 3rd gear where the camry really starts pulling away due to its gearing. You can really see the difference at the 1/8th MPH but when the camry hit 4th gear you were still pulling hard in 3rd and closed the MPH gap. Thanks for posting the numbers!

Yeah, 14.75 was my best run of the night. I hit 14.77 another time and a bunch of 14.8's. Due to the heat, it was consistant 14.8's and 14.9's all night.

Nice run! You might have run faster with traction control off. Nice MPH for bone stock!

I finally installed my injen cai i bought from bass2000 and took my car to the track last week. the weather sucked for racing since it was about 90 and humid but i was really happy with my runs. best run of the nite was:

60': 2.251
1/4: 14.671
mph: 96.31

I thought the mph was a little low but the quarter mile was solid. my only performance mods are dc headers and injen cai. im thinking on a nice 60 degree nite i could dip into the 14.5X's

thanks buddy! it's an '02 TL-S. I was pretty happy since it was so hot out and I probably never took more than a 15 minute break between each run. i went a couple years ago with just xs headers and ran high 14.8x in much better weather and probably 30k less miles on the car.

yeh the intake definitely helped. i think the DC headers are way better than the xs's too. a couple other things i did differently was take out the spare tire/trunk carpet and i didn't brake-torque at all. i feel it gets off the line better this way. looks like we'd have a good run head to head

I bet! I have the same intake and love it. I have heard that headers are the best mod for the TL-S/CL-S. I do also notice that not using a brake-torque and just flooring it provides better results off the line. Our torque converters seem to lag a bit when using a brake torque. We would definately have a great run head to head. I haven't ran since the install of the J-pipe and UR pulley so I am interested in how much faster I will run.

I used to live in Sonoma and go to Sears point before it was infineon. That was a great track because its right around sea level.

I hope you smoked the AV6 in your Supra because your TL wouldn't beat a 03+ AV6 especially from a 40MPH roll lol. Remember the Accord is not only lighter than you but has 40 more HP and 1 extra gear.

Heading to Eppin, NH tommorow....Hope weather isnt too bad although that track is notorious for having slow times...My prediction looking to run mid 14's...Will be running with everything I use for DD, so prolly full tank, spare and all gotta keep it realistic as possible...Tires are also pretty shitty as well...So mid 14's would be good I think!!

Will repost tommorow night!!

You're there to run a best time. Don't short-change yourself by leaving loose articles in the car. Yank it all out. We won't blame ya.

No...I know not short changing I want to run a realistic run and then go back with as much I can remove and less than 1/4 in tank and compare

Good luck man. Mid 14s shouldn't be a problem. Where are you located? The only thing that may hurt you is the stock exhaust (if your sig is correct). But mid 14s sound good

I'd say weather unless it's unseasonably cool in his neck of the woods. Anything over 65 degrees has an impact on time and MPH. If it's above 80, don't waste your time unless you've got a turbo which is hardly affected by high ambient temps.

Yea alot of factors going to hurt my time which is why I am not expecting anything better then mid14's. but it also would not surprise if the times are high 14's...I am hoping I can get a good amount of runs so that I may try diffirent ways of launching, but other than that just going to have fun and see what she runs.....

Dave B...turbo is something to keep an eye out..shhhhhh!

You're right about that. I was talking in terms of mods alone, but very true. That's why I'm not wasting my time at the track until a cool September night or early morning Saturday. It's a hot one today too, at least in NY. I can't wait until the temps go down to 50-60

Pardon my ignorance, but shouldn't that car be faster?

I have a 03 TL-S with only intake and custom cat back exhaust, nothing else and I ran a best recently of 14.67 @ 98.88.

Yes but given the conditions mid 14s sounds about right. That's a really solid trap for the 03 TL-s with I/E.

Yeah, my top end is nice, I trapped about 97-98 first time out with same mods, then 95-96 in the heat, then cleaned out egr and IM, resulting in almost 99. I cant wait for better tires and my comptech headers im trying to buy in black market.
