What's the best time for a NA 2G TL-S that doesn't have a 6MT swap?

I think i remember seeing someone posting in the 14.3 range?

The reason I am asking if because I've already hit 14.6x, and since I did that(I/E only) I've added comptech headers, IM/TB Spacers, Fuel pump. ALso looking at getting lightweight pulleys and AEM A/F controller

The fastest I have seen is a 14.0 @101MPH I believe. That was with I/H/E/P. I can't remember who it was but I know that I have seen quite a few running low 14's with bolt ons similar to yours.

I'm going to the track tomorrow at Autoclub Speedway located in Fontana, CA.

They're having the street legal drags and I will let you guys know how I do.

If anybody in SoCal is down to go, gates open at 6am and I'll be there bright and early .

https://acurazine.com/forums/socal-310/february-5th-street-legal-drags-autoclub-speedway-fontana-ca-806946/

I ran at the Qualcomm Race Legal event a couple of weeks ago and I figured I should just go to a 1/4 mile track and do it right.

Just got back from the Autoclub speedway and here are my results.

Run #1:

R/T: .631
60': 2.584
330: 6.635
1/8: 9.911
MPH: 75.40
1000: 12.700
1/4: 15.065
MPH: 95.01

The track hooked well, but I screwed up my launch (as usual ).

MPH / 1/8th mile times are strong .. especially for this track. From what I'm told, the track is relatively slow .. 04accordcoupe (Sean) can attest to this

Run #2:

R/T: .734
60': 2.620
330: 6.627
1/8: 9.870
MPH: 76.11
1000: 12.636
1/4: 14.977
MPH: 96.01

My 60' s were pretty bad. I was scared to launch hard because I didn't want to break anything and be stranded 118 miles from home .

My 2nd race was against a 2007 TL-S w/ RV6 V3 J-Pipe & CAI, he had a much better 60' and I ended up only about a car length behind. I'd say my car has much better top end because my car slowly started reeling him in from about 60 - 90.

MPH was really strong for the track, 1/8th mile was REALLY improved from my Qualcomm track day.

I think I will go back to the track when I get my timing belt package done and my tuneup.

Sorry to disappoint guys!

Tyler, not bad man. I've heard about that track from Sean, definitely not a fast track. What's the DA over there?

2.6 60' yikes! Lol I can understand not wanting to break anything. I snapped an axle doing a nice burnout on the street in my old Accord

Notbrant: Very nice times. What was your 60'?

Those are excellent times for a sub 100 mph trap in a FWD car. Were you on drag radials?

When I get my tax return, the first thing I'm ordering is coilovers.

My car bucks so hard during shifts, it doesn't put the power down immediately like a car with coilovers.

Funny thing is, if my car can trap 96.01 at a slow track .. my car could be capable of 98 / 99mph trap speeds ... and this car has 93,000 miles on it!

I love Hondas

Heres a timeslip of a 9.340 that I ran at Qualcomm Stadium's 1/8th mile:

Mods at the time were just exhaust, new all season street tires, and suspension.

I am going to race at Autoclub speedway in the next month or two when my headers get in, and I am confident that I will get into the high 13's.

Took my TL to the track for the first time yesterday.
Best time was 14.57 @ 98.37 with a 2.363 60' :/
I didn't lower tire pressure and didn't do a burnout.

Mods:
- Fujita CAI
- Mid Muffler Delete
- Resonator Delete
- RV6 V3 J-Pipe
- Checkvalve Delete

About to buy some motor mounts and coilovers soon to help with the wheel hop/traction.

Nice runs! The elevation of that track is 1110ft so at sea level you could knock a couple tenths off of that or so depending on the weather. What was your 60ft and trap speed?

Watching that clip above @ Etown, I can almost smell the exhaust fumes, burning food and the odor of that nutritionless concession stand food.

w/ Satin regarding the elevation factor on cmares' run. I guess on the flipside of my Etown comment above is that it's at sea level at least.

I can't wait to get my 1st run in this year. It's great weather right now but I'm still not ready! By the time I'm ready to go it'll probably be 70+ degrees and humid.

Cmare I can definitely see you running more like 14.6 at a sea level track. Nice runs.

Are you kidding!?? Lower the fronts to 24 and you'll run 13's!

You shouldn't be doing burnouts anyway. That will actually give you less traction for street tires

The tires were cold. A small spin on the ventus to get them warm is recommended. I had to let the car sit for 40 minutes to an hour before every run so a small burn would've yielded a faster time. Plus I had to baby the launch since xlr8 has yet to send those mounts out.

Nick. Give me a run down of your car and tire setup please.

I didn't drop tire pressure when I went to the track. I wasnt planning on launching hard because I have an axle breaker on my hands

2500rpm is the best launch for a CLS-6, I would launch it the same way on your car

Very nice Phee! 14.1@101 with that 60' is very nice. Your clutch was slipping as well? I'd assume that could account for a few tenths and even a mph or so in the traps. I forget your mods

Definitely let us know when you go back with your mounts/clutch! I have a clutch on the way as well

depends on your car. depends on your tire compound and your mount stiffness. there is no perfect rpm that covers every car.

i barely get to race nowadays. nobody ever chalenges me and i never start races anymore.

on my way back from the track i had a 330i that i put a few car lenghts on multiple times. he started it and i had been itching for a good run so i rubbed it in

i stopped his pull a few times and even threw the hazards on. he got off at the same exit as me and we went from a stand still. i put a freakin bus on his

i was an asshole that night.

i think he wanted to race because i have the dial-ins on my car as well as the class and number on my windows (which im leaving on there )

what kind of clutch?

my mods:
3 inch intake
xs headers
2.5 magnaflow exhaust
underdrive pulley (waste of a mod but it was 25 bucks :shrug)

this run was full interior minus my sub in the trunk

edit: why isnt multiquote working?
