I know there is not much difference featurewise between the 04 and 05 TLs. But for those who are already driving the 05s, do you see any improvements in workmanship and the quality of the material used (like the leather for the seats)?

Can you also let us know, for the 05, if there is any vibration, rattle, paint, memory problems that a lot of the 2004 TLs seem to have?

I waited a year, and I want to know if these problems have been addressed before I jump. Thanks.

After 246 people read my post, I am surprised that no one make a comment on the build and material quality of the 2005 TLs.

I would guess there are very few people with significant experience with BOTH model years. Plus, anyone that has owned both wouldn't have definitive data, because individual cars have more or less problems than others. (For example, 2 2004's that came off the assembly line right next to each other would have different rattles, or no rattles, and different problems of other sorts, or none.)

What you may want to know is if some of the reported 2004 problems are gone in 2005. That will take a while to determine. (examples: headliner, bumper paint)

I've had my 2005 for 3 days. No problems yet, but I can't compare to a 2004. The floor mats are better than what was in the 2004, but I don't know if they changed them in the 2004 mid model year.
