I am going to change out my sparks plug with some new NGK ones. Is there any thing else anyone would recommend changing out also?

I would clean the throttle body with some air intake cleaner. Remove the flexible rubber air inlet tube from the throttle body and with a clean new shop rag, spray some cleaner on the butterfly valve and remove any dirt that has accumulated on it.
Be very careful to NOT do this with the ignition key in the "run" position, you can seriously hurt a finger (or two!) idf the DBW throttle goes through self test (it will open and close). So make certain the key is not in the ignition.
You can also use carb cleaner or brake cleaner, both work well and leave almost no residue.

If you're a noob like me, I'd recommend the can marked "Throttle Body Cleaner". That way you *know* you've got the right stuff.

If you have the shop manual they have a section in the engine chapter on how to clean it (with lots of bold warning print).
On a unrelated side note, I was under my 6MT TL and noticed there's a warning label on the bell housing informing that removal of the clutch/pressure plate without the special tool will damage the clutch. Hopfully by the time my TL needs a clutch one can rent or get ahold of that special tensioner tool.

I want to clean the TB and IAC this weekend, TB is obvious, wipe down the valve, but how do you clean the IAC, and does anyone have a picture of what it looks like?
Thanks!!

If your at a mileage to change the plugs- guessing over 50k miles, make sure to read the DIY and use a very small amount of anti sieze on the threads-
Hows the cabin air filter (20$) diy, every year is when its called for
Ever flushed the brake fluid- supossed to start at year 3 and then every year
And may as well do my favorite thing and Seafoam the intake manifold and gas tank- known by dealer as Fuel Induction System service $150 yikes! we do it for 20
Cleans the intake valves- fuel injector spray pattern (supposed to mist not spurt from being dirty) and the piston tops- resulting in better combustion and performance or mileage
Lets face it- no fuel saving tip works with heavier right foot enjoying the change!!
Tune up in a can. Many happy ziners use it- other good brands are wynns and BG
a few days later- change the plugs after the stufff has a chance to blow crud out the exhaust and give a nice clean home to your new plugs
NGK Iridium Plugs should cost about 7 bucks eash- kragen has a 25 percent off coupon now- search azine for it

This deal is over on May 1st. but if you take the survey and click print you will only get a blank page. I called the kragen support number the they mail me one so you can try that.
