Purchasing: 08 Type-S 5AT 120k

BLUF: What should I watch for?

I'm looking to purchase a 2008 TL Type-S with 120k. Timing belt is already done, at 80k I believe. Newer brake pads and rotors. Bluetooth has been disconnected due to error and battery drain, but I'd like to fix that ($200?).

Anything I should double check before purchasing? Thanks!

Look under the car and scan around the oil pan. Check for leaks and accumulating oil or liquid run off. Also depending on whether you live in a state that gets snow, check for rust.

Thanks. Yes, Ohio has its fair share of salt and brine.

clunking shifting from 2-3, 3-4 gear may require changing of 3rd-4th gear pressure switches

Agreed. With any automatic at that mileage I would be sure to check that when test driving it that the shifts are smooth and not 'clunking' into gear as mentioned above. Also, inquire about the last time the transmission was serviced, if at all.
