Pulled the trigger in NJ.
Say hello to one your new TL brothers. Picked up mine on 3/17. Anthracite/ebony Auto. non nav. So far ( 2 days ) so good. I've been too busy at work to even read to manual or figure out how everything works. I'll get around to it.
Dealer experience at Open Road in Wayne, NJ on my secord visit and delivery was a very plesant surprise. I was all set to go to Montclair Acura, but on a whim I gave Open Road a second
crack since they are more convenient. I closed a good deal with them in about 1/2 hour. They have a ton of non nav's on the lot right now, and are willing to negotaite. State of the art delarship- at least outwardly. Huge service dept. Looked like they have 20 bays any lots of techs.
I would like to thank all of you on this site who gave me such helpful advice. Also, the lease & used car guys on Edmunds.com , I think they go by the monikers Car_Man & RRoyce respectivley, were absolutely invaluable navigating the waters. Can't say enough good thing about them.

Joek Krause. Very nice guy. Either the salesmenthere are all very young or I'm old at age 47. Probably a little of both. I think the salesmen at Open Road have little to no authoiity to work a deal. Joel had to keep going back & forth with his manager & me with numbers. That said, he really exceeded my expectations on the delivery of the car. Best I ever experienced.
Any experience with the Service Dept.?

I also bought my car there on 2/16 and oddly enough they convinced me to take the car home that same evening. I believe my saleman's name was Steven Yoo and he was very nice, but as you said he had to keep going back and forth to the manager and finally I got the price I wanted. Just curious what is your VIN, mine is 140XX and was built in November according to the door sticker, even though I bought the car in mid-February. As for the service they were very nice when I had to bring back the car to check out a few little rattles, although they didn't even get to my car the day I brought it in. After an hour, 15 minute drive there from Staten Island I got there at 9:30 for my appointment, left in the rental car (some weird Land Rover suv out of all cars) and at almost 5 o'clock they called me saying that they hadn't even begun to look at my car. They wanted to keep my car overnight but I couldn't come back there the next day, so I went back since I was in the area anyway and took my TL home, so basically I wasted a day on it. Now the next day I have off I will bring it there but will demand that they at fix the the problems the same day (unless something needs part replacement), so that I don't make another 90 mile round trip for no reason.
got my 2nd TL from the same place..
first one i got in October 9th 03 gave me nothing but problems..
worked through everything with corporate acura and dealer, and they got me new one last week...
hopefully bringing this one in next week or the following week for a couple very minor rattles that i have already hunted down...
congrats on the TL though... great car

Are you saying that you invoked the lemon law & Acura replaced your first TL? That would be the first time I heard that happen on the new TL. How was Wayne Acura on the service end of things? The salesman I had tries to say & do the right things at all times. Hope the service dept. is the same way.
Anthracite/ebony is really a nice color combo. Good luck with your new ride!

Eitan: I have had my car in for a couple service issues. Not anything serious like what's discussed on this forum. Steve in Service is excellent. He has made sure that I get taken care of.
They are going to put springs on my car as soon as they come in. Expecting a break on the deal. Hopefully in April.
