Pulled over again!!!
When I had my truck, I was given a verbal warning with 1/2% visibility. Then state troopers raped me a week later. Should have heeded the warning.
State troopers are what worry me. Regular cops care but aren't that concerned from what I can tell.

Being from "out of town" means nothing. When you drive in any jurisdiction you are responsible for knowing and OBEYING the laws of that jurisdiction. Just because you're from someplace where it's OK to talk on a cell phone while driving doesn't entitle you to do so everywhere you go. Do it in NY and you can get a ticket. Make a right on red within NYC limits and you get a ticket, unless it specifically indicated (via a sign) that it is allowed at a particular intersection.
I've had tinted windows for years and have never even been asked about them that I can recall. But if I get nailed I know it's illegal. I'll be as nice as I can to try to get out of it but if I get a ticket I know I'm wrong. A lot of people think "it's my car I'll do whatever I want" but if you plan on driving it on public roads you have to obey the laws or pay the price. I see may tinted license plate covers that are so dark you can't even see the plate. In NY it is illegal to have ANYTHING over the plate - even a clear cover. You can't deface the plate in any way, even by placing stickers or something on it. But I see that all the time. And we all see people replace various exterior light bulbs with other colors, such as blue. Also illegal. Blue is reserved for emergency vehicles only.
We have to understand that the laws exist and are to be obeyed. Don't complain when they are enforced.

I think the problem most of us have with the tint is that we suffer because somone else took advantage of it. It's a law because it makes it more dangerous for police during traffic stops. I feel for them, I really do. But I'm not moving drugs, raping chicks in my car or cleaning my guns at stoplights. I drive to work, and I go home. I know the law is the law, but this one drives me nuts.

. Very random, out of no where, and my tints aren't even dark, the front are 35% and the rear is 25%..... 80$ each ticket for front and rear!!.... has this happened to anyone???

Just pulled another tint ticket today.I had no choice but to go to Clark/Westfield for work. I live like 2 town's away and haven't been there in year's BY CHOICE. What a nice welcome back......
