Pulled a Monte Carlo SS, hard.

I'm driving home Saturday, when these three Scions I had challenged months ago (they had declined) tried to mess with me. We only had room for a quick two second run because of traffic but needless to say they lost and didn't try to come up again.

As I keep going down the road, a Jeep Grand Cherokee had seen it and started trying to catch up, which left me thinking, Is he serious? Next thing I know, he's on my left at the light and a Monte Carlo SS with aftermarket duals is on my right. Light turns, and I take off, spinning all through first, with a bit of wheel hop (), pulling about 1-2 cars on the SS and of course, blowing the Jeep away.

We get to the next light, and I'm praying that my tires are warmed up, but I decide to half-throttle it to be safe. The SS was revving, and lurching forward, and jumped the gun by a little. At half-throttle, I was still spinning but got traction a little sooner, but at that time he had already gotten two and a half cars ahead of me. As soon as I hooked, though, I started to pull forward quickly and ended up two cars ahead by 90. We both slow down and I give him a when he looks over, and a few moments later, he accelerates and throws a out the window.

It turns out that the Jeep was his friend and they took the off-ramp as I continued on the highway. First race I've had in awhile and I'm glad that it turned out well for me, and that my tranny didn't decide to slip out of 3rd like it did 3 days ago while changing lanes, .

~Cheers~
