Problems with rear seat and seat belt

I bought my 2004 TL in July 2004 and have approximately 6,000 miles on it. A week or two ago, I noticed that I had never unbuckled the seat belt for the rear middle seat. All three of the seat belts had come buckled by the dealership when I bought the car. I guess to make it look nicer. Anyway, when I went to unbuckle the seat belt, I noticed that there was a white gritty residue around where the seat belt passed through the hook that would be at a person's waist. I washed the seat belt with soap and water but the seat belt is now discolored. A week after using soap and water, the white gritty residue appeared to have grown back. I actually used some Mr. Clean to get it off the belt but it still doesn't seem to have done the trick

Also, some of the gritty reside appears to have fallen into the small holes in one of the rear seats. That has caused some of the small holes to become raised in appearance.

I have had two people sit in the back seat since I bought the car. I don't carry anything in the back seat that might have caused the problem (rock salt, etc.). I know this sounds crazy but has anyone ever heard of this problem. Any suggestions? I'm going to the dealer on Thursday.
