Pricing on a used TL Type S
Hello. I am new here but wanted to get all of your opinions on what I should expect to pay for a 2007 or 2008 TL Type-S 6-Speed? The dealers seem to be near the 30K mark but not always. Thank you!

ya, actually there are wayyy more TL-S 6 speeds out there than there are TSX's manuals. Those are near impossible to find with Navigation. Miles i am seeing around 12-24K usually. I just wonder how aggressive these dealers will drop. I know CarMax is a set price, and unfortunately, they have quite a few of them in stock across the country.

I had good luck looking for new and used cars in Autotrader my last buying cycle. That will let you know what the market is up to - price guides like KBB and Edmunds just don't seem to be in touch with marketplace reality (plus dealers have their own price guides that they don't share with us civilians).
Oh, and Carmax may say they are fixed price, but if you're a serious buyer you can dicker a little OR try to get them to toss in stuff so they can say they didn't lower the price.

Just as a point of reference, if you are paying $30K + for a car with 12-24k miles on it, they are selling brand new ones for right around $33k. Might be worth the extra money to get new if you can find what you are looking for.

Wow, they're selling new Type-S's around 33K?? I thought MSRP was 38,900?

all work and no play
I bought mine in Feb for 34,500 and back then they were just about to start ramping up to sell off the remaining stock in anticipation of the 4th gens coming out. So yes 33k doesnt sound unreasonable, especially with the way manufacturers are throwing out incentives to lure buyers with the unstable economy

In May I bought an 07 WDP TL-S 6MT w/ ASpec lip, 16Kmi for $31.5K. Didn't want to pay that much, but had been looking for 8 months, couldn't let it go past.
It's now at the shop, waiting to hear if they are gonna go the 3rd gear fix.
Good luck

That doesn't sound too bad of a price. What's wrong with 3rd gear? popping out?

Does the $31.5k include the destination charge of $760? I've gotten a quote for $31.6k for a 2008 NBP TL-S but that price is without destination.

No destination charge, it was used.
Wow, you guys paying that for new? I got hosed! Oh well, I still love it.
3rd gear popping out: yes. they couldn't get it to happed, but are going ahead and fixing it anyways. Went in Tuesday night, and if I don't hear anything in a couple hours, I won't get it back until next Tuesday. Bummer, all vacation without my baby!
