Price of your '04 TL w/Navi
Price of your '04 TL w/Navi
Yeah.. I know.. tons of threads on pricing - But I'll post a new one anyways - But I'm in the market now for an '04 TL w/Navi - I got a dealer here in Long Island quoting me $33,395 - What has everyone else paid for theirs? And what did they throw in with yours? Thanks everyone! Just responses from buyers who got Navi! =)
2004 TL Pricing why shop anywhere else
I just bought my new 2004 Acura TL Redondo Red with Parchmont. interior.
I will just say I bought my vehicle for less than $31,400.00
MSRP is over $33,000.00
Sussman Acura, Northfield NJ right outside of Atlantic City NJ
PLease ask for Brian Cronan 609-641-1900 Ext 1617
Just tell Brian that Jake Bower referred you.
I am not connected to any dealer , just buy alot of cars .
My other car is a 2000 BMW M Roadster when the weather is nice.
The TL is a dream

All delaers will try to unload inventory over the next 5 days in order to get the car out before the start of the next month. You should be able to get your best deals during this time.
It's a catch 22 with negotiating a super low price, because the dealer has to make money on a sale so if the really discount the car you will get less things thrown in. What I always do is get the car as low as possible, then negotiate the accessories separately.
Bring some printouts of other dealers accessories costs and in every instance they will match those prices.
I always deal from a place in Larchmont, they have always gone the extra yard. If you want the salesman's name let me know

You are right, it wasnt a TL with navigation but a Nav doesnt list for 33,000 either. I guess I was just trying to help when people are only getting a $500.00 discount that there are dealers out there that can discount considerably more than 500.00
I got over $2000.00 off

I drive alot of miles and get reimbursed from the company I work for.
I have owned the following autos
2000 Honda odyssey
2002 odyssey
(2) 2003 odysseys
2004 Honda Pilot
now 2004 Acura TL
2002 Mini Cooper S
and now 2000 BMW M Roadster certified.
I have been able to trade or sell all of these for nominal loss of depreciation.

Why pay $2000 for navigation
I travel alot and need assistance with directions. I just bought
The Garmin Palm Pilot about 4 months ago and it is exception
Voice activated, mobile. color screen maps for all usa , mexico and canada.
cost $479 + car kit, and memory card total out of pocket
575.00 no monthly cost
also it is still a palm pilot
also it is mobile , give it to a friend to use or wife when traveling.
a Navigation systems retains only 500 to $700.00 after 1 year in resale value.
FYI
IT is a realistic alternative.

I got my 04 Acura TL for 32,820 black exterior/black interior with navigation. Most dealers wont go this low because of the high demand but you can find it in NJ. Mine also came with the protection package or wheel locks, trunk mat, and splash guards.
re: car w/ or w/o navi
although the price difference between cars is $2000, the discount difference is a LOT, well, different.
The navi cars are more difficult to get, provide additional functionality, and are more desirable...
So it's not apples <> apples between navi and non-navi discounting. You won't see too many auto/navis sit on dealer lots.

Nav versus Regular.
I am not saying the Nav isnt a nice figure and maybe there are many around the lot and you arent getting a big discount.
The key issue is what is your TL worth 24 months or 48 months down the line
check this website out which establishes the Lease value for all cars and check out what the residual value of a TL versus a TL with navigation

Recently bought a pearl green 2004 TL with Navi and automatic shift. I didn't feel good about the price. They basically offerred me MSRP ($35200) plus wanted me to pay another $70 for wheel locks. It took me about 45 minutes to get them to pay for the wheel locks and take $200 off!! Ended up paying $35000 plus free wheel locks. Also go a deal on protective sealant ($200 off).
I had pre-ordered the car and had been waiting so had lost some of my bargaining advantage, if there is any. Basically I felt if I didn't buy it, they would just sell it to someone else. These cars are so rare in my area, I didn't feel I had any leverage.
I bought at Hoehn Acura in Carlsbad California.
