This price is unbeatable!!
Call me crazy, but even assuming that the reserve is $25,000 (halfway between the opening bid and the BIN price), I don't think I'd want to pay that much for a car that's been wrecked, especially when it doesn't say how BADLY it's been wrecked. Don't let the "clean carfax" fool you either. It takes quite awhile between the time the major repair work is done and/or a salvage title is issued and the time it shows up on carfax.
I'd be VERY careful before bidding on this one.

They have 9 pictures of the outside (none are what I would call close-ups), and 28 pictures of the inside. If that doesn't raise a red flag, then I'm colorblind.
For them to point out that it was in an accident must mean that it was pretty significant because it will be obvious after inspecting the car.....personally.....id cough up the extra few grand and buy my own new one.

I would be VERY careful on this. If you must get involved the pictures show two things to research BEFORE you bid . . .
1) Texas license tag "Z73-BFG"
2) Vin# 19UUA66204A054541 (Mfg. date: 06/04)
So do your homework. You may have to pay for a title search or accident history but it will pay off in the end.
You don't want to say after you buy it . . .

Those last few things probably happened sometimes in the last few weeks, which probably isn't enough time for them to show up on a title search or accident history report. It CERTAINLY isn't enough time for them to show up on carfax.
Bottom line... I wouldn't even consider this, unless the dealer could show me some "before" (the repair) pictures that showed the extent of the damage. If the damage was VERY minor, it might be worth it. Otherwise, I'd spend a few thousand more for a new car.
Not that this really matters, since I think everyone has pretty much expressed that this is more than likely a bad deal... but...
There are now two bids. The current price is $24,000, and the reserve has been met, so someone's gonna get it.
Kind of makes you wonder if these bidders missed the fact that it's been wrecked? It obviously was easy to overlook, based on the fact that some of the people here missed it inititially. I just hope nobody gets

I bought my 2004 Acura TL with Navi, Anthracite/Black at the end of June in NY. Didn't arrive until 3 weeks later in July. Car was manufactured in July. It came with 2 miles on it. The cost including destination charge and wheel locks thrown in was 32,400. I was mad because it was supposed to be delivered in 3 days, but the 3 weeks was worth the price.
