Wink Price & brakes

First off, thank you to all the previous posts. Really great information here and at Temple of VTEC.

Second, I just placed an order on a '04 TL, Anthracite on Ebony w/Navi. Paid $500 below MSRP and they threw in wheel locks, trunck tray and mud gards. I probably could have done better, but I'm happy. I shopped by internet across the Houston area and received identical MSRP prices, but some variation in drive-out prices. Went back to the dealer I liked and they dropped the price $500. Unfortunately it will not arrive until mid november.

Finally, i think the A-spec looks OK, but what I'm really after is improved braking ability. I've done some autocross and hi-speed track (used to own an S2000), so I know a little. I'm less interested in brake fade (not likely in city driving), and more interested in improved stopping distances. Any advise on how to obtain this (i.e. install brembo's or perforated disc or better pads??).

Thanx and regards,
art

Pricing

FYI...I am paying MSRP for my 04 TL w/ Navi but I got them to throw in wheel locks, moonroof wind deflector and side molding. They are also going to give me a $500 allowance towards any other accessories. Although I didn't get money off MSRP, I did receive approximately $1,075 off extra accessories. They also gave me 22K for my '02 TL-S. There is always room for dealerships on trade-ins and accesories.

Happy Shopping!!!

Satin Silver / Quartz on the way. Expected delivery Oct 31st. Boo!! :wow:

different pads and tires w/ better traction will be the best way to improve braking.
