Preparing to say bye to my 3G, best practices for selling?

Hey all, my wife and I are being given a Lexus by family which while older than my 08TL, it has about a hundred thousand less miles than my TL. I've never actually sold a car before and am curious at best practices for how to sell a car in general, as well as anything specific for an Acura/TL. I've kept it overall in quite good shape with everything fully functional (though nav is spotty) and only minor cosmetic issues. All the regular maintenance stuff is done (even tired, breaks, belts and plugs recently). So besides cleaning it (and crying because I'd rather just keep the TL but I can't give up a free 100k miles of car life) I'm not sure where to start and where to list it, etc. For best safety and price return.

Thoughts and resources?

You can list in Black Market, Craig's List, Facebook or a different way?

Any pics of the car?

Will certainly be taking many, but none that matter sitting around. 3g with nav and backup cam, dark grey, nothing broken, just light wear. Dash and paint good, seems none of the common 3g issues, even ones that pop up in the 07 and 08.

I would give a description of your ownership of the vehicle. For example, things that you encountered (if any) and always make sure to note what maintenance has been done and if you have receipts for such things or not. You want to provide enough information about the vehicle to answer 90% of questions a potential buyer may have, but be weary to not write paragraphs as that can be interpreted and perceived as a desperation sale or simply a turn-off for someone who doesn't want to read as much.

Also, list why your selling the vehicle and if any extras will come with it (set of tires, mats etc.)
Finally, be sure to take good pictures that show the vehicle's strengths and also weaknesses (both interior and exterior).

GLWS, im sure there will be interest here if the vehicle is in good condition and priced right!

Where at?

How much?

Sorry, I'm broke! But I'll trade you for a Kia, but you don't need another car

Sounds great! Hope you love the new Lex!!!

Look at some examples in Black Market there are a few good ads...look at ones that have sold. Craigslist is questionable with shadiness, the lower the price the shadier the people coming to look (YMMV). Ive seen a bunch of ads when I was looking and one I bought recently in Craigslist was awesome; Pics were very clear and description was straight forward and detailed. The keys for me are clear and lots of pics and very detailed description and history while youve owned the car and anything that helps paint picture for prospective buyer.

I would hold on to the car, not just because of it being a 3G but you just never know. But you may just be tired of the car and then I see why you would sell. Good luck with sell but you should post up some pics for us to see car.

Clean it good, take good detailed pictures and be as descriptive as you can using proper English.
