Power Steering Rack

Power Steering Rack
Have any of you guys replaced the power steering rack yourself? I've replaced one in my 2000 Porsche 911 and it was doable for me. I'm not an expert mechanic, and mostly learn through Youtube videos and other DIY articles. I heard i have to drop the subframe to get at the one in our Acura, and I don't know if that's difficult or not. I got a quote of about $1K to replace it at my independent.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Yup, I did it and it was a pretty major PITA. Then again, I'm not mechanically inclined and did the whole thing with a floor jack, jack stands, and hand tools. I relied heavily on the video above posted by Turbonut. In fact, when I just played it again I got chills reminding me of how many times I'd watched it before. You do need to drop the subframe, but while that sounds scary, it wasn't that big of a deal. The hardest parts of the whole effort for me were:
a. Breaking a power steering line nut. It was tight as hell and at an incredibly awkward angle that also required an open ended crowfoot wrench drive at the end of several extensions on a breaker bar.
b. Actually removing the rack. Had to use a pry bar to separate the subframe enough to rotate and pull it out.
And I did it outside in the middle of an Arizona summer. Oof!
