The "Post Pictures of your Seats" thread
Oh ok... What I meant to say is that I am going to get this repair in 2 weeks. This guy is mobile and he goes out to businesses and homes as well so he is going to take care of my driver seat

I've seen some Type-S with American Transmision tho
My transmission still works perfect and I'm at 101K
Friedn with a 08 Type-S had American tranny and sold it as it need to replace the trnasmission. That bad.

Last picture that could see the seats. I'll take pic today.
Owner since 06. and 101k miles
Only pictures I have were taken for other purposes. Everything was taken for pictures of the system which is obvious but they're the only ones I have of the interior.
Here's the passenger seat. Looks just like the driver's seat despite having passengers about 5% of the time. 108,000 miles:

Part of the seat and kicks with my early Dyns. I don't know why the color math is so horrible with the flash on. They look factory even in the sunlight in person. You literally can't see a color difference.

Kicks with the new Dyns, better color match in this one but not finished installing, just mocked up.

Floormats are in terrible shape and this is the second set of factory floormats. They last about a year.

Rear seats are still nice:

Basically everything but the seats have held up well:

From 1984 and the seat leather is still 100% perfect like it's never been used. The center of the seats are deer skin leather. Not sure if deer skin is good or not but it's absolutely perfect after 28 years. Of course, the interior looks like it was designed by a 5yr old lol. I wish I had a better picture though:

mine look exactly like this too. just used some conditioner yesterday and def see a difference. wish i took a before and after. i guess the guy before me kept rubbing his ass on the side everytime he got in cause some of the leather kinda peeled off at the stitching. after conditioning it it's a lot less noticeable
Ill have to join this game once I get back from work...luckily I am getting all my seats repaired and redyed soon....total cost is like 170 for the entire car or something.....beats paying 1K per seat from Acura
Here are mine:

I don't have any up close of the driver seat but they look pretty identical to OP's seat in terms of wear lines, mine just look cleaner and the color is not as worn/faded. OP's look like they need some cleaner & conditioner to brighten them up abit.
I had the ebony set which came with my '08 Type S which has 41,000 miles. I just swapped the seats for the taupe interior around 40,000 miles. Purchased them used on azine's blackmarket, great condition. The rear bench looks like brand new, the passenger and driver seat look to be about the same condition as my ebony set which withstood about 40,000 miles pretty well. l'm not sure how long I'll be keeping these seats but I'm sure eventually I'll return to the stock ebony and post these on the black market.
Either try to find a set on the black market or try a leather repair guy if you are unhappy with what you currently have. One thing I've been doing is putting a towel over the driver seat which absorbs all the rubbing and friction from my entry and exit. Driver seat door side of the seat picks up the most wear and tear from driver entry and exit. I always keep a few towels in the car for myself and the passenger seat + rear bench. Whenever I know I'm going somewhere that I may potentially get dirty or sweaty (in the summer after some basketball) I make sure to have towels handy to sit on. Then whenever I'm going out for something more formal, just toss the towel in the trunk and I'm good to go.
In the long run this will keep my seats looking better for longer but overall I'd have to agree with everyone, the leather on the 3G does not do well with wear and tear. Tints are not just a cosmetic thing for our cars, it will definitely increase the longevity of our leather

The sun can really do damage to leather if the leather is not properly cared for. From what I've read, from asking others and from personal experience, cars with tinted windows and leather seats tend to fare better than their counterparts without tints.
No idea what the 'optimal' % tint is but it makes sense to me, leather dries out like our skin. Conditioner and cleaner help but so does decreasing the amount of sunlight we expose the leather to, thus tinting the windows. I wish I had a garage

2006 RBP w/ Quartz (56,6XX miles). Haha please disregard my dirty azz car; been using it a lot this summer to haul friends to the beach so my interior is still sandy and desperately in need of a detail.

The seats would probably look new if I washed them with some Zaino...
