Is It Possible To Have Acura Brembo?

I have an 04 Automatic TL (NBP) is it possible for me to get Acura Brembo or Brembo brakes install? If so, does anyone knows the website where I can get it? About how much is it, for the total kit including all four brakes?

Its far easier to get some really good rotors and pads- change to Legend calipers and SS brake lines then have fun
Stops my 01TL 30 feet sooner than expected when really needed~
total cost 6-8 hundred for everything and its all direct bolt up

I didnt say they were better than the 4 piston Brembos on the MT cars- just a much cheaper alternative for the auto trans car that wants better brakes-- without a mortgage~

They feature 2 pistons (one 1 side) instead of 1, and have 3 outer brace-fingers while the stock has 2.
More even pressure distribution on the pad surface mean better braking.
And at 75 dollars for each of the front calipers- a bargain!! IMO
The rears stay the same- acura uses them on many models and years, just get better pads.
Gen 2 has found these to be a great upgrade since many of us are at the time for new calipers anyway- and these cost the same as regular TL calipers.

anything is possible....but yea u need a lot of parts when ur doing the brembo upgrade from auto. im not 100% if u need the knuckle....i remember seeing an auto knuckle and it looked similar to the manual one but i never sat there n took it apart to compare it.... but if u need the knuckles u need bearings as well and dust shields and new speed sensors. just those parts alone are close to 800 and then the bearing has to be pressed in and there goes another 50$..... if ur serious about doing it id hunt ebay and the junk yards first

The ~brembo car~ rotors are 1 inch larger diameter- I think thats why the knuckle is changed
And all the other parts
There are really good parts avail that will bolt on and IMPROVE the stopping- not the same as brembos- but when do you need that much brakes- really

yea but mainly id say to get the brembos just because of the warping issue with the auto no? thats something that got on my nerves more than anything when i had the 2nd gen

How is that setup going to cure the problem? you can warp any rotor if you try hard enough-some are more prone and others more resistant to the issue.
Buy good rotors for the TL, and knowing how to drive with them, results in a smooth stopping machine that will empty the seats of loose objects on demand and with less than full effort. It just stops!!!

I personally like RacingBrake front rotors and their pads on my 01TL, and have SS lines and Legend calipers that went on months after the rotors,- then it needed larger stickier tires to fully use the new stopping power.
This setup is a great option for the auto TL, and what it should have come with IMO-
but economics of car building is like every other biz- cut cost everywhere.
What the retail price is-- does not concern the dept of shortcutting.

not often but when the time finally does come when you need them it might make all the difference in the world. its like a shooting a gun at someone. you might not do it often but when you do you want to make sure its done right. extreme analogy yes but i think the point is clear.

There's no warping issues with the 3G's though so...

i know a few people with auto 05's that have warped their rotors.....its like the 2nd gen tl's probs a few high speed runs n stops the rotors warped.

I am all in favor of using the best rotors and pads you can find-IYO-
My wife brought the last car home 3 feet shorter, so the TL got RacingBrake rotors immediatly!

For the normal person- upgrading the calipers without dropping a grand on changin many other parts...I say its a good deal.

has anyone put legend calipers on a 3rd gen TL? Will they bolt right up to the stock mounts? This sound like a good way to go if it will work.

I doubt the legend calipers will bolt up to a 3GTL
