Possible better transmission ????

Haven't been on here in a while so i figured ill ask a question i havent came across yet and felt like taking notes on a good debate. Have anybody thought about or tried taking the 8 speed transmission(or 7, im not sure) from the tlx and dropped it in a 07/08 type s ?

The 07/08 transmission is loads better than the previous 04-06 ones.. Also the TLX had issues of their own..

This is something I have attempted to get ideas concerning what and how it would work. It's just not feasible unless your wanting to practically make a whole new car.

if I had to guess

engine mounting is most likely different due to change from double wishbone to strut base suspension
engine control is VASTLY different
CANBUS issues with Body Control Module and related equipment that rely on engine control (ABS, VSA, etc.)

etc, etc, etc
