Thumbs up Porsche Boxster and Us

Well.. we finally had our first encounter with a Porsche Boxster who was following us down a major freeway yesterday evening. We finally hit 1K miles and it was time to see what the TL is capable of. My wife and I were in the car and we were driving pretty fast coming home from the the mall far away. At first, I got behind the boxster since we had to merge into another freeway, but then as soon as we had an open freeway, he got in front of us and I told my wife.. this is it.. he wants to play. So we followed him but still without acting stupid as he was going faster than normal... and then with a coincedence, we both exited on the same freeway exit where I knew it was open territory. The TSX rental was about to pay for the practice M shifting I was trying then. I shifted the TL to a lower gear coming down the freeway, and he gunned it! I then gunned it too and i was behind him the whole way and Im sure he was thinking.. how in the world is this sedan still behind me?? Anyhow.. the distance was short to the light and I let off.. I thought it was a great experience knowing that this TL could keep up with a "sports" car. I kind of felt incomplete because he turned one way and we did another and I had a great feeling that this TL would of passed him if we had the distance and extra time. Oh well, it was fun for those couple of seconds of adrenaline rush.

Congrats. We can do well against the boxters, it is the Boxter S that is significantly faster than us.

thanks pmp. One thing I did notice is on a slight turn I didnt feel 100% stuck to the road. Definitely in need for a drop and more contact wide rims.

creating a new thread for each encounter is preferrable.
