I'm guessing from the question, it's his first stick shift.

Give him a break! Give him congrats!

But, don't give him a hard time ... We all (or, most of us) were there once.

This was NOT my first stick car and I had a hard time adjusting to the clutch. I'm completely comfortable with it now after training myself, but when I first got the car, the gas pedal was kinda weird for me. I was used to the gas pedal coming out from the top like the clutch and the brake but on the TL, the gas pedal is attached to the floor.

Also, clutches are different in every car. I posted when i first got the car and as you can see, most people agreed me with me....

Don't get discouraged. It shouldn't take very long to get used to it.

Good luck, it will be a lot of fun learning, and Congrats on your new TL
