You should sell that car immediately, and if the steering wheel is carbon fiber you should give it to me.

Actually I have no idea. Someone said they were going to post a diy on a steering wheel swap but I don't think it ever happened.

Everything seem to be working fine. Should i center the cable reel or just leave it alone.

if it's not centered it could possibly snap in half when you turn all the way left or right. best bet is take it out, and center it

I wanna do this...but it looks scary! LOL...I have an Aspec wheel gathering dust with some time on my hand. Anybody else do this and thought it was a breeze?

It's a breeze... Takes about an hour.

Follow the directions. You'll need a $9 steering wheel puller from the local auto zone.

Here's a hint. Don't mess with the clock spring/reel in the center. Instructions never mention it, don't touch it.

Don't worry darksom... I'm sure Stella will look much better with the new steering wheel... you'll love the feel of the new steering wheel... the steering wheel puller is there only to yank out the old steering wheel... you don't have to replace the cable reel and rest of the stuff.... just follow Ron's picture 1,2, and the last one (omit the rest).... that's all u need.... people that race cars do this all the time on the fly... shoudn't take u more than 10-15 min The airbag is hold down by the bolt that needs to be removed using the torc ranch and replace with the new ones that comes with the new steering wheel... let me know how it comes out...

Is everyone sure you don't need to align the cable reel if I just replace my steering wheel with the exact one I have just a better shaped one? That is my only concern on doing this. I can do everything else fine.
