Please help with 04 TL improvements!

I returned from Afghanistan about two years ago and picked up my 2004 TL. I always wanted to modify my TL with wheels but I ended up picking up 18x18 Konig Lace wheelS. It's a love hate relationship; the TL looks great on the move but stationary I feel disappointed.
"Is there any hope for the TL?"
SUGGESTIONS PLEASE!!!:ugh:

IT requires an oven and some spraypaint lol. But a lowered stance will help out with the cars look and hopefully improve on it.

Welcome to the forums.

I changed your signature a little since we don't have the capability to host pictures in signatures, so I made the URL show instead. When you have met the requirements, you can put that picture in your avatar and remove the signature link, if you want to.

I also deleted the other two threads you posted in Tires,Wheels&Suspension, and I have moved this thread to the main forum. There isn't really a good place to put this because your question is so widely stated, but this is a good place to start. And it will get more attention in the main 3G Forum.

If it turns out that any one particular topic is more applicable, the thread can always be moved again to a more appropriate subforum.

I know that "slamming" a car looks good, but it's hardly practical. I'm only dropping my ride with S-techs, and I'm still not sure if my A-spec lip is going to clear the curb to get into my driveway, no matter which way I pull in. Parking my TL on the street will not be an option, so I'm until I get home with the car next Saturday evening after the install.

For those wheels...Is the lip painted black and the spokes just silver?

What size are those tires?

Any more pics with those wheels ?

All u need is a slight drop, then u will be set.

YOU SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT A TYPE-S BUT SINCE YOU DIDN'T YOU HAVE A LOT OF WORK AHEAD OF YOURSELF. IF YOU CHANGE OUT THE WHEELS YOU REALLY NEED TO DROP IT FIRST OR YOU BE 4 WHEELING. GOOD LUCK...

The wheels would work with the SSM if you went with a blacked out look...

He's saying you should drop your car before you get wheels.

If you get wheels before you get a drop, the wheels will lift up the car and cause more wheel gap, making the TL look like a truck or a "4-wheeler".

Ahhhhhhh Duh! 4 x4 ing....OK! Got it!.............. I actually have started to thing that same way and direction...I am also thinking of just getting a spring that has a 1-1.5 drop and installing now and rollin on my stock 5 start TL wheels and tires... Until these tires wear and need replacing... I just can't make up my dam mind between 18s and 19s Staggard or FLUSH no lip...Grrrrrrrrrrr!!! Decisions Decisions!

I'm on TEIN S-Tech springs on stock shocks and I'm dropped not quite 2" in the front and about 1.5" in the back. I'm riding these until I can afford coilovers

Personally I love the stock 5-spoke wheels. If you dropped the car and then got some spacers for the stockies, say 15mm or so, that would look better than those wheels posted above and no drop

1st - Drop it. I have an 06 tl with 18's that isn't dropped and I hate how it sits.

2nd - A-spec kit.

I also have to agree, side moldings gotta go. They are extremely practical but look like crap.
