Looks beautiful, Sean. I'm glad you're feeling better. I like Anil's idea about blue in the headlights-maybe the rings!
Let's open those babies up!!!!!

Ran into a slight problem on finishing up the wet sanding test on the Rust-Oleum. Let's just say it didn't like having painters tape on it.
I did go ahead and do the peel test on the aluminum piece I've been working with. The results are quite interesting.

OP, did you use a heatgun on the rustoleum painted portion? If not, how long did you wait after painting before you applied tape to it?

However when I did the video the Rust-Oleum had been on that area for over 1 month and I even had problems with the black only section that was 4 months old coming off.
The products I used to try to remove the adhesive didn't impact the peel test and the enamel had cured for over a month before doing this test (products were used right before the video was shot). It was fully cured by then and the peel results are consistent with every single other test I've done with the Rust-Oleum. I still recommendation using Krylon Fusion Clear for plastics due to ease of use/removal. However no matter which product is used, the video did show that heavier applications of PlastiDip (a lot more coats than 5) does greatly help the removal process.
I do appreciate the questions both of you had as they are very valid and it's good to ensure that I didn't make any mistakes.

Christmas "lights"
Not car related, but is plastidip related so though I'd share.
I have a green house so I though red lights would be great. Not just any lights though, they had to be plastidipped. I looked outside and the outdoor lights on either side of the garage looked in need of some dip. I'm thinking of pulling the dip off the smaller glass sections and spraying it blaze green. I don't have much left but may just have enough to do the small glass sections.
Ready to dip
First coat
Three coats - a little black still shows through and I really like it that way.
Night shot!
