What color would be good for the grille on an Anthricite Metallic? Think Black would clash too much, no?

Hmm, wish I knew someone around here with that color of a TL. I'd put my hood trim piece up against it and take a picture so you could see the difference. I think the black would look ok, but I'm really curious to see how the gunmetal would look as that could be the better choice. The gunmetal looked really good when put up against Steven Bell's Silver TL.

Sean....awesome bloody thread....

you are a real perfectionist and this will help a lot of people decide which route they want to go....its awesome to see how different clear coats/enamels can "modify" the color of the base coat....

well done mang....

You guys are funny and yes my exhaust sounds awesome in the parking garage... but on to more important things. I just finished up the wing grill and was wondering if anyone was wanting me to post a pic of it. I'm thinking I might hold off for a while but could be convinced otherwise.

In the meantime though I do have a VERY important question to pose...

Do you think Plastidip could fix this or are we looking at a last ditch duct tape transplant? It looks like this truck was on the set of GI Joe when the metal eating nano-bites were released.

Got my grill done. It may not be to everyones taste but I like it so far. Also on the pics in the sun the blue is not even close to that bright in person. The first picture is much more accurate on the true color. (please ignore the dirty car)

I like the blue accent. I think the ACURA letters on the bumper need to be blue too.

Hey all, I have a video up for the peel test with the Auto Enamel on PlastiDip. Sorry it took so long. I wanted to make sure the enamel had plenty of time to sit before peeling it off. I'll do another video using the Krylon for plastics When I have time.

I've put a new video covering wet sanding Krylon Fusion applied to PlastiDip. For those that are interested in this I think you'll be very happy with the results.

My TL is NBP and I am thinking about doing this to my middle bar as well but in Gunmetal, and the part you have in blue, do it in black! what do you guys think? I will probably do the V bar and the rest in gun metal as well probably!

^-- I think the black with gun metal accents would look great. I had thought someone posted a pic earlier in this thread with gun metal grill on NBP and was going to look at that to visualize having the black accent but didn't see the pic anywhere.

Doing gun metal with black accent could work and may look good but I'd try to find a pic of someone having dipped the grill gun metal on an NBP first to see if you like the contrasting look.

Thanks man, I was looking for a picture like that too but didn't see a picture of that. I kinda thought about gunmetal with black and I think i have came to the conclusion of complete black grill with gun metal accents. It should look good, esp with the dark gun metal domeddecals!!

I have ordered them through the website and can't wait to get them and find a free weekend to work on the grill! lol

I'm back with another video. I took a break from the enamel testing to do this as I was working on my wheels anyways.

This one shows an alternative to taping off the lip of a wheel to create a colored ring on the outside edge.
