Plasti-Dip License Plate & Reverse

Hey y'all I needed opinion.. wanted to add some flavor to my car, and its hard to tastefully platidip on black cars.

I have some CREE LEDs that project the light in a form of concentrated circle. I was thinking of plasi-dipping the entire license portion flat black to kind of match the car. After doing this, I was going to cut the circle out for the reverse to shine though.

I mocked it with MS paint. Tell me what you think

Before

After

Ehhh. I think the strip and emblem would look better blacked.

i wouldn't do it, because plastidip by itself has a matte finish. The whole license plate area would look like a giant piece of black matte plastic.

Thats the beauty of plasti-dip though, buy a can for 10 bucks, if you dont like it, then rip it right off.

Ewwwwww. I know TL's are getting cheaper by the day and are making their ways into the hands of would be civic owners, but please, let's try atleast somewhat to not go down to that level. That rear plate garnish panel actually looks bad ass stock as it's a really cool design and pattern.

I can see plasti dipping the silver trim piece or painting it black, but the whole garnish, yuck. The reverse lights look goofy as hell in the photoshop pic and they would prob shine right through the plasti dip too.

Tint it if you need it darker, all I see when I look at that is stripper dimples.
If anything use the taillight shading spray to bring the color offset down. Won't look like plastidip, will make it darker. I still vote no on the holes though

Never owned a civic. I came straight from my first car being a Lexus. Thanks for your input after your insult though..

I painted the silver strip graphite to match my wheels, but I wouldn't do the whole license plate panel. If you do it then peel it off all of the backup light lens. Like someone above said, try it, if you don't like it peel it off.
