Places to clear headlights in OR?
I've been waiting a long time to clear my headlights because of mainly money issues and not wanting my lights to fog up.
Since it's been about a year now...does anyone know if any places in OR does this now? Or anyone who can gaurentee their work? I would also like them blacked out also...
I'd really appreciate if anyone could provide some information.

Your kidding, right? Not many shops will do something to a car that is obviously driven on the street every day that is illegal in most states? That is why all the self-help tips!
I am sure ANY shops you have heard or seen doing these and sending them out the door would be either laying their butts on the line or making the person sign off that it was strictly for off road use. Either way...most shops shy away from things that can get them hauled into court when some person states after the fact; I got this done at XYZ....they never said anything about that? Mosts shops like to stay within the bounds of the laws or at least within throwing distance anyway that they would have a defense. Clearing headlights would have almost no defense if they didnt make you sign a waiver....and even if you did... if and when they got hauled into court to show said waiver....they would have just LOST any money that they made on that job in lost time and legal expense defending themselves. To get this mod done...you are gonna have to do that one yourself! Not to mention...you almost answered your own question on the guarantee question....too problematic for the most part...possibilities of having even four customers come back over and over and over with headlights that they couldnt seal properly - and they could run themselves out of business just trying to satisfy the four of you doing the work over and over resealing....or replacing headlight units.
This is a VERY cool thing to do...dont get me wrong....but it is a bit of an unexact science, so most commercial establishments will shy away for this type of work due to the problematic nature of the mod, for which you already mentioned.

Oregon doesn't even require the front signals to emit an amber light. It can be white.

You can buy tube of OEM sealant at the dealer....

If I EVER find one of those...I will be sure to let you know!
Seriously (and I was kind of being serious there) that is the problem right there. This process is problematic...and yes...it can be done right. Some people can do it successfully...MANY cant.....this is in where the problem lies. I found a few shops that will clear your headlights....and you know what you get with em....a BIG three month guarantee? Not worth much there...and tells me that there is a reason that they dont offer more...because of the tendancy for problems after about three to six months? You are totally right though....this can be done correctly....just the chance you are gonna find a shop that does it with an iron clad warrantee is very slim?
